Assuming control of a family business is both a privilege and a challenge, a delicate balance of honoring the past while moving forward. As the second-generational owner of Lokenani Skincare, this journey is one I embrace wholeheartedly.

My mother, an esthetician and the original visionary behind Lokenani, acquired the brand from Hawaii in the early 80s and brought it here to Southern California while preserving its Hawaiian roots. For over three decades, she nurtured it, establishing it as a consultant-based company. However, as times have evolved, so must we.

Let's be honest—without an online presence, it's almost as if you don't exist in today's digital age. Recognizing this, my mother decided to retire, knowing Lokenani needed more than just a facelift; it needed a complete transformation. She entrusted me with this mission because she believed in my vision to propel Lokenani into this digital era while preserving its essence.

Revamping a brand that has been around for 30 years is no easy feat. It's challenging to implement changes in an established business. Yet, this challenge is precisely why I'm passionate about it. My mother knew Lokenani needed a fresh start and a renewed identity, and she believed I could make it happen. It was at this time that I also obtained my esthetician license and began diving into skincare and product ingredients.

The rebranding of Lokenani is not just about a new look—although, after 30 years, that was definitely in order. It's about a comprehensive evaluation of our products' ingredients to ensure they meet today's standards. Lokenani Skincare has always been synonymous with excellence, but there's always room for improvement. The Hawaiian culture and the spirit of Aloha, which have been part of my family's heritage for over three decades, continue to inspire and guide me in this endeavor.

With advancements in ingredients and formulations, there are now countless plant-based options that are safe and highly beneficial. By integrating these new, improved components, I aim to enhance the quality of our products even further.
